Mopar ’27 Dodge Charger: 270 Cars, a Carbon Hood and a $10,995 Price Tag

The Mopar ’27 Dodge Charger is Stellantis’ new limited-edition muscle car, built to mark 90 years of the Mopar parts brand. Only 270 will be made, the package costs $10,995 in the US, and it is offered on two versions of the two-door Charger with the twin-turbo SIXPACK straight-six.

Stellantis announced it on October 27, 2026, ahead of a public debut at the Mopar NHRA Las Vegas Nationals (October 30 to November 1) and the SEMA Show in Las Vegas (November 3-6). Dealer orders open in early January 2027, and production starts in spring 2027.

This is mostly a looks-and-parts package, not a power upgrade. Here is exactly what you get, what it costs, how the two versions differ, and whether it makes sense for a buyer.

What is the Mopar ’27 Dodge Charger?

Mopar has built a factory limited edition almost every year since the Mopar ’10 Dodge Challenger. The list includes Chargers, a Chrysler 300, a Dodge Dart, Ram pickups, a Durango and a Jeep Gladiator. The last one was the Mopar ’25 Ram 1500 RHO.

The ’27 is the fourth Charger to get the full Mopar treatment since 2011. It also marks a milestone. Mopar started in 1937 as the name of a Chrysler antifreeze, and it turns 90 in 2027.

What does the Mopar ’27 package add?

Every car gets the same core kit, much of it from Direct Connection, the Stellantis performance-parts brand:

  • Carbon-fibre front splitter
  • Carbon-fibre bonnet with a functional scoop
  • Cold-air intake system
  • Carbon-fibre rear spoiler
  • Unique bodyside and bonnet graphics
  • Serialized Mopar ’27 / Mopar 90th anniversary plaque under the bonnet
  • Unique interior badge on the dashboard

Buyers also get an owner kit with a personalised certificate of authenticity showing the build number and a special rendering of the car by the Mopar design team.

One thing to be clear on: Car and Driver notes the package brings no extra power. The cold-air intake is part of the kit, but Stellantis quotes the same 420hp and 550hp outputs as the regular cars.

Two versions: R/T or Scat Pack Plus?

The package is offered on two two-door Chargers. Both use the 3.0-litre twin-turbo Hurricane SIXPACK engine with standard all-wheel drive and an on-demand rear-wheel-drive mode.

The Scat Pack Plus gets its extra power from forged engine internals, larger 54mm Garrett turbos with more boost and a charge-air cooler. Stellantis calls it the highest-contented Mopar ’27 version.

How many will be built, and in which colours?

Production is capped at 270 cars, split evenly across three paint colours, 90 each:

  • Bludicrous
  • Diamond Black
  • White Knuckle

Allocation is 243 cars for the US and 27 for Canada. That is the full run, so there is no plan for other markets.

What else will Mopar show at SEMA?

The SEMA show car will wear three more Direct Connection parts that are sold separately, not as part of the package: a high-performance cat-back exhaust, a performance spring kit and 21×11-inch Brass Monkey wheels.

Mopar’s stand will also feature a Ram 1500 Rumble Bee with a supercharged 5.7-litre HEMI V8 targeting more than 600hp, a Direct Connection version of the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT targeting over 900hp, three Easter Jeep Safari concepts and a custom 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona tribute.

Is $10,995 good value?

That depends on why you want it. On a parts basis, carbon-fibre bonnets, splitters and spoilers are expensive items, and buying them separately later and having them fitted and painted would also cost real money. Stellantis has not published the parts’ individual prices, so we cannot do a fair line-by-line comparison.

The stronger argument is rarity. A numbered car from a 270-unit run tends to hold its value better than a regular Charger, but that is our view, not a guarantee. Limited editions do not always appreciate, and resale depends on mileage and condition.

The weaker argument is performance. If you want a faster Charger, the regular Scat Pack Plus already gives you 550hp. The package adds style and exclusivity, not speed.

For context, the US performance-car market is changing fast. Chevrolet keeps evolving the Corvette, as our 2027 vs 2020 Corvette Stingray comparison shows, while Ford has moved the Mustang name into EVs with models like the 2027 Mustang Mach-E Trail.

How to get one: things to check before you order

With only 243 cars for the whole US market, most dealers will get very few, and many will get none. If you are serious, a few practical steps help.

  • Talk to your Dodge dealer before orders open in early January, and ask whether it expects an allocation at all.
  • Get the price in writing. Stellantis sets the $10,995 package price, but dealers set their own selling prices on rare cars, and markups are common on limited editions.
  • Decide on colour early. Each colour has only 90 cars across the US and Canada, so your first choice may go quickly.
  • Budget for the base car too. The $10,995 is for the package, not the whole car.
  • Ask about the separately sold SEMA parts if you want the show-car look, and check whether they affect your warranty.

None of this is unusual for a numbered special, but it avoids surprises.

Can you buy it in India?

No. Dodge does not sell cars in India, and the whole run is allocated to the US and Canada. A personal import would face very high duties and homologation hurdles, so it is not a realistic option.

For Indian readers, the relevance is the parent company. Stellantis sells Jeep and Citroën here and has a large new-model plan, which we covered in our report on Stellantis India’s ₹4,000-crore plan for 12 products. Performance specials like this one are not part of that plan.

CarBike Insight Analysis

The Mopar ’27 Charger is a smart, low-risk anniversary product. It uses parts Stellantis already sells, keeps volumes tiny, and gives loyal fans a numbered car to chase.

It also shows how far the Charger has moved. A 90th anniversary muscle car with a straight-six and all-wheel drive would have sounded strange a few years ago, and some V8 fans will still feel left out.

Who should buy? A US or Canadian Charger buyer who wants the carbon parts anyway and likes owning something rare. Who should skip? Anyone chasing more performance per dollar; the standard Scat Pack Plus does that job. And at roughly ₹10.5 lakh for the package alone (our rough conversion at about ₹95 to the dollar), it is a reminder of how much exclusivity costs.
