Lamborghini Temerario Tettonero: A Two-Tone Capsule, and Will India Get It?

The Lamborghini Temerario Tettonero is a new limited-edition capsule collection for Lamborghini’s hybrid V8 supercar. Lamborghini announced it on October 29, 2026, and its name means “black roof” in Italian, which is exactly what it adds.

The capsule was created by Lamborghini’s in-house design studio, Centro Stile. It pairs a gloss black Nero Noctis roof and hood with one of five bright body colours, and adds dedicated interior details and a dedication plaque for each car. The powertrain does not change: a twin-turbo V8 and three electric motors with 920 CV.

What Lamborghini has not said is just as important: how many cars will be built, what it costs, and which markets get it. Here is what is confirmed, and what it means for buyers in India.

What is the Lamborghini Temerario Tettonero?

The Temerario Tettonero is a two-tone limited edition of the Temerario, Lamborghini’s plug-in hybrid V8 supercar. It adds a contrasting black roof and hood, gloss black trim and special cabin details, but keeps the standard 920 CV powertrain. Lamborghini calls it a “capsule collection” designed by its Centro Stile studio.

The idea is not new for the brand. Lamborghini says the Tettonero builds on the capsule concept it introduced with the Urus SE at Milan Design Week 2026. The aim is to give buyers a more personal-looking car without the cost and wait of a fully bespoke Ad Personam build.

Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann said the Tettonero gives the Temerario “an even more dynamic, athletic and sporting character”.

What colours does the Temerario Tettonero come in?

There are five body colours, each paired with Nero Noctis black on the roof, hood and other details. The launch car is Giallo Inti, a yellow. The other four are Arancio Xanto (orange), Blu Cepheus (blue), Verde Scandal (green) and Viola Pasifae (purple).

The black does not stop at the roof. Lamborghini extends it to the front splitter with its hexagonal motifs, the rear diffuser, the Lamborghini emblem and the engine surround. Buyers can add optional Nero Noctis accents on the front hood and bumper. High Gloss Black is also used on the front and rear bumpers, the mirrors and the wheels.

What changes inside the cabin?

The cabin uses Nero Ade black upholstery with Grigio Octans grey contrast stitching. The Q-citura seats have a hexagonal pattern, and buyers can choose stitching that matches the body colour. The layout, screens and controls are the same as in the regular Temerario, so the changes are about materials and detailing.

There are several dedicated touches:

  • an embroidered Lamborghini logo on each headrest
  • “Tettonero” lettering on the door panels
  • an embroidered two-tone silhouette of the rear design on the bulkhead, stitched in a matching colour
  • a Matt Carbon dedication plaque on the driver’s side that identifies each car within the limited series

Is the Tettonero faster than the regular Temerario?

No. Lamborghini lists no mechanical changes. The Tettonero uses the same all-new 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 and three electric motors, with a combined 920 CV and an engine that revs to 10,000rpm. Lamborghini’s published Temerario figures are 0-100km/h in 2.7 seconds and a 343km/h top speed.

How is a capsule different from Ad Personam?

A capsule is a pre-designed package. Ad Personam is Lamborghini’s full personalisation programme, where buyers choose almost any colour and trim combination. The Tettonero sits in between: more distinctive than a standard car, but with a fixed set of colours and details chosen by Centro Stile.

For buyers, that has practical benefits. The look is coherent because the designers chose the combinations, and the car is easier to describe and value later because it belongs to a named series. The downside is less freedom: if you want a colour outside the five, you are back to Ad Personam.

Ownership is the other practical question. Running costs for a car like this are high, and Lamborghini does not publish service prices, so we will not guess them. What is known is the hybrid side. Autocar India reports that the 3.8kWh battery accepts up to 7kW AC charging and charges fully in about 30 minutes, and it can also be topped up by the V8 and regenerative braking. In daily use, that means short electric-only stretches rather than a long electric range.

How much does the Temerario cost?

Lamborghini has not priced the Tettonero. For context, Auto Bild reported a German launch price of €307,500 for the Temerario, Car and Driver lists about $387,600 in the US including destination, and the car launched in India at ₹6 crore ex-showroom, according to Autocar India. A capsule edition will almost certainly cost more.

These figures are not directly comparable. Taxes, duties and specification differ by market, and India’s figure includes high import duty on a fully built car.

Will the Temerario Tettonero come to India?

Lamborghini has not said which markets will get the Temerario Tettonero. India is a realistic candidate because the Temerario is already on sale here. But until Lamborghini India confirms allocation, treat Indian availability as unconfirmed. Interested buyers should ask their dealer directly.

India’s supercar market is small but growing, as our report on rising luxury car sales in India showed. Rival brands are also investing here. Ferrari brought the Luce to India, as we covered in Ferrari Luce’s India debut.

CarBike Insight Analysis

The Tettonero is not about speed. It is about making a Temerario look different from the one parked next to it, and Lamborghini knows its customers will pay for that.

The smart part is the format. A capsule collection gives buyers a factory-designed look with fewer choices than Ad Personam, which should mean simpler production and clearer resale value. Limited plaques also help residuals, though Lamborghini has not said how limited.

The design trend is worth watching. Supercar makers are leaning on personalisation as their engines go hybrid, much as Porsche showed with its Mission S concept.

Who should wait? Indian Temerario buyers who have not yet confirmed a specification. Asking your dealer about Tettonero allocation costs nothing. Who should not wait? Anyone who wants a car soon. A limited capsule with no announced India plan could take a long time to arrive, if it comes at all.

FAQ

What does Tettonero mean?

Tettonero means “black roof” in Italian. On the Lamborghini Temerario Tettonero, the roof and hood are finished in Nero Noctis black against one of five body colours, with more black details inside and out.

Is the Temerario Tettonero more powerful?

No. It keeps the standard Temerario powertrain: a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 and three electric motors producing 920 CV. Lamborghini quotes 0-100km/h in 2.7 seconds and a 343km/h top speed for every Temerario, so the changes are visual only.

How many Temerario Tettonero cars will be made?

Lamborghini calls it a limited edition and fits a dedication plaque to each car, but it has not published a production number. Treat any specific figure you see elsewhere as unconfirmed.

What colours are available?

Giallo Inti, Arancio Xanto, Blu Cepheus, Verde Scandal and Viola Pasifae. Each is paired with a Nero Noctis black roof and hood, and Giallo Inti is the launch colour. Optional black accents on the hood and bumper are also offered.

Will the Temerario Tettonero launch in India?

Not confirmed. The standard Temerario is on sale in India at ₹6 crore ex-showroom, but Lamborghini has not said which markets will receive the Tettonero capsule. Indian buyers should ask their dealer about allocation.
